Abstract

The invention provides a colorful metal fiber for photography and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the colorful metal fiber comprises the following steps: mixing an adhesive and a colorful luminescent material, and adding the mixture into a solvent to obtain a suspension solution; and coating a steel wool strip with the suspension solution, and drying to obtain the colorful metal fiber, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one of polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl butyral and carboxymethyl cellulose. According to the preparation method disclosed by the invention, specific adhesives such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl butyral and carboxymethyl cellulose are selected to prepare the suspension solution together with the colored luminescent material capable of emitting different colors, and the suspension solution has higher viscosity and can emit colors different from the original color of steel wool when coating the steel cotton strip and combusted, so that the color of the original steel wool during combustion is increased, the combustion of the original steel wool is changed from single yellow to various colors such as blue-green, the steel wool is more gorgeous during combustion, and the color is richer during photography and video recording.
