Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of electronic paper display, and particularly provides an electrophoretic display module which comprises a lower substrate, an adhesive layer, an electrophoretic particle layer and an upper substrate which are sequentially connected from bottom to top, and a pixel electrode layer with a via hole is arranged on the lower substrate; and the adhesive layer is provided with a hole corresponding to the position of the via hole. The invention further provides a manufacturing method of the electrophoretic display module. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: firstly, manufacturing the adhesive layer with the hole structure on the pixel electrode layer in a photoetching or imprinting manner; and then manufacturing the microcup by utilizing a photoetching or imprinting mode on the basis of the adhesive layer. According to the application, the adhesive layer is firstly arranged, so that the adhesive force of the microcup structure to the pixel electrode layer can be improved during imprinting and demolding, and the microcup structure is prevented from being deformed and broken; the holes are formed in the adhesive layer, so that the via holes can be completely exposed in the electrophoretic liquid, the field intensity of an electric field with the holes can be improved, electrophoretic particles can be better arranged according to the electric field, the display contrast is improved, and the power consumption is reduced.
