Abstract

A new class of mass tag polymers are provided that include enriched metal isotopes, such as zirconium and hafnium mass tags. These new mass tags have different chemical properties than lanthanide mass tags and develop new mass channels that can be used in mass spectrometry flow cytometry. These polymers can be used in mass spectrometry flow cytometry, therapeutic delivery of radioisotopes, or screening of therapeutic isotopes. Aspects include kits, methods of making polymers, isotopic compositions, or both, and methods of using the same. Kits may include a polymer. The polymer may include pendant groups that chelate enriched isotopes, such as zirconium and / or hafnium. The kit may include an isotope composition comprising an enriched zirconium or hafnium isotope. The polymer may be conjugated to the bioactive material. Aspects may also include preparing a kit. Aspects include uses of the kit, such as for mass spectrometry flow cytometry.
