Abstract

Based on the principle that weak physiological movement can cause optical fiber micro-bending deformation to further cause light intensity change, a physiological parameter monitoring system based on optical fiber sensing and through monitoring data, the system adaptively detects fine light intensity change through an optical detector to obtain ballistocardiogram signals, and the ballistocardiogram signals are transmitted to the optical fiber sensing system. A signal processing algorithm is used for obtaining information such as heart rate, respiratory rate and body movement. Experiments show that the developed system can measure physiological parameters in a non-inductive manner in a zero-load state, and has a wide application prospect in the field of health and medical treatment.
