A general method for dynamically managing stored resources under window platform characterizes in using a kernel module to realize dynamic distribution and usage stored resources based on windows NT operation system reel management device and utilizing communication software under a customer mode to connect with the global resource stored management server which dispatches and assigns the stored resources among different applied servers. Apart from supporting the stored resource dispatch method corresponding to the server, the kernel module provides and images the operation of virtual stored device provided by it to a physical store device, besides, it shields other components of windows NT operation system to access its controlled physical devices.
