Hemispherical solar still with underground soil condensation integrated brackish water desalination system

This invention discloses a saline water desalination system combining a hemispherical solar distiller with underground soil condensation. The system comprises a saline water storage device 1, an evaporation device 2, a condensation device 3, and a freshwater collection device 4. The saline water storage device 1 provides the saline water source for the entire system. The evaporation device 2 utilizes saline water pumped by a water pump 11 for natural evaporation. A centrifugal fan 32 promptly transports the generated water vapor to the underground condensation device 3 via an insulated pipe 31, where it exchanges heat with the soil underground. Finally, the generated freshwater is collected in the freshwater collection device 4. This system eliminates the traditional method of collecting desalinated water where the evaporation and condensation processes occur in the same space. It proposes a method that physically isolates the evaporation and condensation processes of saline water under the influence of solar energy, solving the problem of a significant decrease in condensation efficiency as evaporation and condensation continue in the same space.

The solar still (11) receives feed wastewater (WW) and produces condensed water (CW) and concentrated wastewater (CWW) therefrom through solar distillation. An anaerobic process tank (12) receives the concentrated wastewater (CWW) from the solar still (11) and produces digested waste sludge and a process liquid (PL) therefrom through anaerobic digestion. A membrane tank (20) receives the process liquid (PL) from the anaerobic process tank (12), and also receives the condensed water (CW) from the solar still (11). Through membrane filtration, the membrane tank (20) produces purified water (PW) and retained wastewater (RWW). The retained wastewater (RWW) is recirculated back to the anaerobic process tank (12).

The invention discloses a solar distiller with separated functions and a preparation method thereof, the solar distiller comprises a solar distiller body composed of a bottom wall and four side walls, the upper end of the solar distiller body is an inclined opening and is fixedly connected with a cover plate, and a plurality of solar evaporators are placed in the solar distiller body; the four side walls are fixedly connected in sequence, the four corners of the bottom wall are fixedly connected with the lower ends of the side walls, and gaps are reserved between the bottom wall and the side walls. The present invention relates to a Flow Assisted Desiccant Solar Still (FADSS) device for extracting potable drinking water from atmospheric air The FADSS device comprises a desiccant box having silica gel as a desiccant material, for adsorbing water from atmospheric air. The FADSS device may further comprise a blower and a condenser. An inlet tube is positioned at bottom of one corner of the desiccant box, and an outlet tube is positioned on a side surface above the desiccant bed, in a diagonally opposite direction to the inlet tube. The inlet tube and the outlet tube are connected to a condenser. The blower forces ambient air across the desiccant box, for saturating the desiccant bed. The air is circulated in the desiccant box carries released vapour to the condenser. The vapour is condensed from circulated air and is removed from bottom of the condenser, in form of potable water.
