The invention relates to a method for switching a mobile terminal from a heterogeneous network to a mobile communication network. When the mobile terminal is detected to enter an overlapped cover area of the heterogeneous network and the mobile communication network, the mobile terminal is accessed to the mobile communication network; and when the mobile terminal leaves from the overlapped cover area and breaks the connection with the heterogeneous network, a general data transfer platform channel is established between the mobile terminal and the mobile communication network and a new IP access obtained is transmitted to home proxy server or the home proxy server and the other terminal to which a communication connection is to be established. The invention also relates to a mobile terminal and a network switching system supporting pre-access. The inventive terminal supporting pre-access, and the method and system for switching a mobile terminal from a heterogeneous network to a mobile communication network can not only effectively shorten switching time delay but also same energy of the terminal and network resource.
