To this end, FIG. 1 shows a preferred embodiment in which the element is a ball nut 1 or steering nut 1 of a recirculating ball screw drive of a steering system. The operating principle of a recirculating ball screw drive has long been known from the general prior art, see for example DE 103 10 492 A1 for this. FIG. 1 shows a drive unit 2 , which drives a ball nut 1 via a belt 3 . This results in a linear or axial movement of the spindle 4 , which deflects the vehicle wheels (not shown in detail) via the tie rod 5 . The ball nut 1 is rotatably supported by a bearing 6 , wherein the bearing 6 can perform a pivoting movement depending on the direction of action of disturbance forces (mainly caused by tie rod forces).
