Problems solved by technology

[0005] In 2007, we applied for the Chinese invention patent "All-optical Analog-to-Digital Converter (200710049158.8)", which uses a symmetrical Sagnac interferometer quantization and encoding of N 1×2 coupler beam splitting input arrays to realize N-bit all-optical Analog-to-digital converters, but the peak power of the control light (analog light) pulses is not optimally utilized

[0043] specific implementation

[0044] For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages and novel features of the invention are described herein. It should be understood that not necessarily all such advantages can be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited to any particular embodiment disclosed.

[0045] refer to Figure 4 It is a schematic structural diagram of an embodiment of the 3-bit all-optical analog-to-digital converter of the present invention. High nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber γ=12W -1 km -1 . The control light is the stable laser emitted by the fiber laser, the maximum peak power P b (t) = 10W, wavelength λ 1 = 1560nm. Probe light pulse λ 2 =1552nm, T FWHM = 2ps, 10GHz / s mode-locked laser emits a chirp-free hyperbolic secant pulse with a pulse width T 0 =T FWHM / 1.76=1.136ps, average power P 0 = 2mW. Abstract

The invention discloses a parallel quantification coding method for an all-optical analog-digital converter 2MX, which is used for designing an N-bit analog-digital converter and includes the structure that: the stable pulse of detecting light and the stable pulse of control light (analog light) pass through a wavelength division multiplexer or a polarization coupler (1) and then are inputted into that a 1 is multiplied by N coupler (2) for the beam splitting and into N non-symmetrical Mach-Zehnder interferometers. The direct input port of each non-symmetrical Mach-Zehnder interferometer is provided with a band wave filter or an analyzer (4), thereby the detecting light is only allowed to pass. Combined with the splitting ratio of the proper coupler (2) and the splitting ratio of the first coupler of each non-symmetrical Mach-Zehnder interferometer, the structure causes the detecting light to output a Gray code pulse in parallel.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of optical information processing, and it particularly relates to a kind of all-optical analog-to-digital converter NAMZSX parallel quantization encoding method, promptly adopts 1 * N coupler beam splitting access N asymmetrical Mach-Zehnder interferometer (Asym MachZehnderI ) parallel output, N-bit all-optical analog-to-digital converters are realized by parallel quantization coding based on self-phase modulation (SPM) and cross-phase modulation (XPM) principles. Background technique [0002] Optical signal processing, optical communication, and optical sensing are in urgent need of high-speed, high-precision analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), and all-optical technology is the most promising method to achieve this goal. All-optical ADC involves three basic units and key technologies of optical sampling, optical quantization and optical encoding. Researchers at home and abroad have satisfactorily ...
