The PTC element 21 is a laminated structure consisting of a PTC material layer 212 stacked between metal electrode foils 211 and 213 , and the thickness of the metal electrode foils 211 or 213 is between 0.025 mm and 0.5 mm. The PTC material layer 212 is formed by mixing crystalline polymer materials and conductive fillers. The insulating layer 22 and the electrode layer 23 are disposed on both sides of the PTC element 21 , that is, the insulating layer 22 is disposed on the surface of the PTC element 21 , and the electrode layer 23 is disposed on the surface of the insulating layer 22 . Abstract

The invention relates to an over-current protective element which can be applied to a protective circuit module (PCM), comprising a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) element, at least one insulating layer, at least one electrode layer and at least one conductive channel; wherein, the insulating layer is arranged on the surface of the PTC element and then the electrode layer is overlapped; the electrode layer leads the insulating layer to be arranged between the electrode layer and the PTC element and as at least one surface of the over-current protective element; the conductive channel is electrically connected with the PTC element and the electrode layer; the conductive channel can manufacture a blind hole which penetrates the electrode layer and the insulating layer till the surface of the PTC element; meanwhile, at least one conductive layer is covered on the surface of the blind hole used for the electrical connection between the PTC element and the electrode layer.
