Problems solved by technology

By emulsifying the inkjet ink, the printing density can be increased and strike-through can be reduced, but if the proportion of the internal water phase increases, the viscosity becomes high, and ink droplets cannot be ejected from the nozzle
Furthermore, if the storage stability of the ink is not good, even if the viscosity can be suppressed low, it will affect the ink ejection and cannot be printed.

[0045] Using a high-speed homogenizer (PHYSCOTRON manufactured by MICROTECC O., LTD.), while stirring at 3000rpm for 5 minutes, add dropwise the water shown in Table 1 or Table 2 to the oil phase of the composition shown in Table 1 or Table 2 The phase components were stirred at 10,000 rpm for 5 minutes until the ratios shown in the table were reached to prepare a water-in-oil (W / O) type emulsion ink. In addition, the compounding quantity of each component in Table 1 and Table 2 is shown by mass %.

[0046] The viscosity and storage stability of the emulsions were evaluated by the following methods for the inkjet inks obtained in the examples and comparative examples described above. These evaluation results are shown in Table 1 and Table 2.

Abstract

The invention provides a water / oil type emulsive ink for ink jet having low viscosity and excellent preserving stability suitable for ink jet printing. The water / oil type emulsive ink for ink jet is prepared by emulsifying aqueous phase and oil phase using a non ionic surfactant; the aqueous phase contains salt of metal which is at least one selected from kalium and calcium while calcium salt especially calcium chloride is preferred; the non ionic surfactant is preferred to be poly glycerin fatty acid ester, especially ester of polyglycerol and hydroxy fatty acid. The ink consists of 40-99 mass% of oil phase and 60-1 mass% aqueous phase; and contains 0.5-10 mass% of poly glycerin fatty acid ester relative to the total quantity of the ink.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a water-in-oil (W / O) emulsion ink suitable for use in inkjet printing, the water-in-oil (W / O) emulsion ink for inkjet having low viscosity and excellent storage stability. Background technique [0002] Inkjet printing is characterized by ejecting ink droplets from fine nozzles and printing without contact. Various companies are developing inkjet inks with the aim of reducing the size of ink droplets, increasing the speed of printed matter, and increasing the size of paper. [0003] Inks used in inkjet printing (in this specification, "inkjet inks") are generally water-based pigmented inks for personal and office use. Water-based pigmented inks have high printing density due to the high water absorption of paper fibers, and the printing density seen from the back of the printed matter, that is, the print through is reduced. On the other hand, since paper is dried under pressure during papermaking, once water adheres, th...
