Abstract

The invention provides a method for testing a blade server. The method comprises the following steps: capturing identification information of each testable component in the blade server; reading pre-set test information which comprises identification information of the components needing to be tested and test fixture information needed by the test on each testable component in the blade server; determining the components needing to be tested in the blade server according to the read test information and the captured identification information; determining whether the test fixtures of the component needing to be tested exist or not according to the read test information and the captured identification information; in the presence of all the test fixtures of the component needing to be tested calling a corresponding pre-set testing program for the components needing to be tested; and operating the called program to test the components needing to be tested to generate testing results.
