AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This new type of liquid that can resist high temperatures without losing its effectiveness when applied through hydraulic drilling techniques was developed based on industry standards called ASTM D 5625. It consists mainly of two components - one made from pure chemicals or crude oil while another contains tiny particles like silica sand suspended therein. These small particles help keep it stable during use over time but they may be harmful if allowed out into our environment due to their potential negative impact upon human health. To make this product more effective, we have added these ingredients together afterward.

Problems solved by technology

Technological Problem: Current hydraulic fracture techniques involve adding expensive chemical agents like calcium trioxy borate (CBO) and polysulfonimides (PSS), resulting in increased costs and impurities during storage and transport processes. Therefore, an improved solution needs to develop a more effective and economical fractering liquid composition while maintaining desired properties over longer periods of operation.

Abstract

The invention relates to a temperature resistant water-base fracturing fluid thickening agent and a method for preparing the same. The thickening agent consists of acrylamide, 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane sulfonic acid, N-vinyl pyrrolidone, complexing agent EDTA, chain transfer agent, sodium hydroxide aqueous solution and deionized water. The thickening agent is prepared by copolymerizing industrial raw materials of the acrylamide, the 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane sulfonic acid and the N-vinyl pyrrolidone in a reactor provided with a stirrer and a thermometer. The preparation method is simple. The prepared temperature resistant water-base fracturing fluid thickening agent does not contain insoluble residues, and the thickening agent of which the mass percentage is 0.5 percent is cut continuously for 30 minutes under the condition of 170S and 95 DEG C so that the viscosity is kept over 65 percent.
