Abstract

The invention discloses a method for processing three-row sprocket tooth form of a marine engine, which can ensure the processing quality of the three-row sprocket tooth form and has low production cost and high production efficiency. The method uses a numerical control plano milling machine for processing and comprises the processing steps: (1) the tooth form of a first row of sprockets is processed by crude and fine milling by a conventional slotting cutter; (2) a cutting edge which is shorter than that of the conventional slotting cutter in the previous step and a slotting cutter having a cutter body part that is provided with the cutting edge and takes on a round platform shape being larger at the bottom and smaller on the top are used for layered cut processing of crude and fine milling for the tooth form of a second row of sprockets; (3) a third row of sprockets are pre-bored with calibration holes; (4) the third row of sprockets are upturned with the upper end surface being leveled, and then a cross centre line of the parts is accurately aligned by using the calibration holes; a center zero is aligned by using the centers of the inner holes of the parts, and the tooth form of the third row of sprockets is processed by crude and fine milling by the conventional slotting cutter.
