The method comprises that: when detecting that a virtual machine of a receiver is in a migration starting state, a data forwarding assembly of the receiver sends an application locking request to an information bulletin board; the information bulletin board locks records corresponding to the virtual machine of the receiver in a node information table of the information bulletin board according to the application locking request, and caches updating requests corresponding to the records; and the data forwarding assembly of the receiver judges the type of a received data message according to a local migration information table, and forwards and caches the data message according to the type of the data message. The system comprises an application locking module, a locking module, and a first data message forwarding and caching module. The method and the system ensure seamless switching of communication addresses in the migration process of the virtual machine, realize continuous and reliable operation of communication in a virtual network, and simultaneously improve information acquisition efficiency and forwarding efficiency of the data message.
