Abstract

The invention relates to a prism sheet and a backlight device with the same. The backlight device at least comprises a luminous element, a light guide plate and the prism sheet. The light guide plateis provided with an incidence surface and the light emitted by the luminous element illuminates onto the incidence surface. The prism sheet is arranged above the light guide plate and comprises a light condensation film and a plurality of prism peaks which are formed on the upper surface of the light condensation film. The prism peaks are distributed on the light condensation film in a form of anarray. Each prism peak is in a pyramid shape or a prismatic table shape and is provided with at least six arrises. The bottoms of the adjacent prism peaks are combined with each other. By adopting thestructure, the backlight device can condense light in a plurality of directions under the condition of using only one prism sheet, thereby facilitating reducing the thickness of the backlight device.
