Abstract

The invention relates to a stereoprojection device of a single projector with a single liquid crystal light valve. The stereoprojection device comprises a projector, a synchronous circuit, a self-compensation bending mode liquid crystal light valve, a movie screen and rotary polaroid glasses. A linear polarizer is positioned before a lens of a projector; the self-compensation bending mode liquid crystal light valve is positioned outside the linear polarizer; one side of the lens of the projector is the inside; video input signals comprise left and right eye image signals which are alternatively transmitted to the projector in sequence; light emitted by the projector passes through the linear polarizer and the self-compensation bending mode liquid crystal light valve in sequence and is projected to the movie screen; and audience can watch the movie screen by wearing the rotary polaroid glasses. The invention has the advantages of simple structure, simple circuit and low cost and is free from considering the counterpoint problem of stereoscopic images of two projectors. The stereoprojection effect can be realized by only using one projector; and the cost of the stereoprojection device is lower than that of a tereoprojection system of double projectors.
