[0013] Now, referring to the figure, especially the figure 1 , shows a grounded vehicle 10 , which may be in the form of a loader 10 . The loader 10 includes a bucket 12 , wheels 14 that engage the ground and are connected to a frame 16 with an engine 18 . Engine 18 provides motive force for movement of loader 10 and generates electricity for use of control system 20 . Control system 20 may be distributed across different portions of loader 10 , partially within the cab of loader 10 , to allow an operator to access controls to control loader 10 .

[0014] Now, additionally refer to Figure 2-3 , shows a control system 20 including an engine starting system 22 that may be integrated with the system 20 . Control system 20 includes a control panel 24 having an activation button 26 and other controls 28 . Control system 20 additionally includes processor 30 , power circuit 32 , display 34 , motor controller 36 and bending load controller ...

Abstract

An engine start system (22) for use with a ground engaging vehicle (10), the system (22) including an input device (26), a processing circuit (30), a display (34) and an engine controller unit (36). The input device (26) produces a signal when depressed, the signal initiates the application of electrical power to the engine start system (22). The processing circuit (30) is activated by the application of electrical power thereto. The display (34) is communicatively coupled with the processing circuit (30). The input device (26) produces another signal when depressed. The other signal is detected by the processing circuit (30) and the processing circuit (30), in response to the other signal, sends either a PIN request notice to the display (34) or a start signal to the engine controller unit (36).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to keyless ignition systems, and more particularly to keyless ignition systems for grounded vehicles. Background technique [0002] Starting systems for internal combustion engines have been around for over a hundred years. Some internal combustion engines are started by simply turning the manual rotation of the assembly. Early automobiles had mechanical starting systems that included a starter crank that was rotated by the operator of the car to start the engine. Electric start systems have included physically engaging a lever or pedal, wherein the act of engaging the starter gear also activates an electrical circuit to power a rotary motor, thereby spinning the engine at a sufficient speed to start the internal combustion engine. [0003] To improve vehicle safety and deter theft, key systems were developed that required the operator to have a key to the lock prior to use of the system to start the internal combustion ...
