Abstract

The traditional phase type surface plasma resonance sensor adopts a piezoelectric ceramic displacement platform to adjust phase, is expensive in price and poor in repeatability of phase modulation so as to cause limited sensing accuracy. The phase type surface plasma resonance sensor comprises a laser, a polarizer, a first beam splitter, a second beam splitter, a first polarization analyzer, a second polarization analyzer, a first detector, a second detector, a surface plasma resonance prism, a sample pool and a metal modulator, wherein a first metal reflecting piece and a second metal reflecting piece in the metal modulator are orthogonally arranged on a fixed frame, which is connected with a rotary platform; and the plane in which a high reflecting mirror is located is vertical to a light beam entering the metal modulator. The light beam entering the metal modulator reaches the high reflecting mirror after being reflected by the first metal reflecting piece and the second metal reflecting piece. The light reflected by the high reflecting mirror returns in the same way after passing through the first metal reflecting piece and the second metal reflecting piece. By utilizing the phase type surface plasma resonance sensor, the refractive index of a sample can be detected accurately at high precision.
