Abstract

The invention discloses a method for measuring towing depth of a mid-water trawl warp, and relates to position determination of a trawl warp. In the method, a protractor and a pointer are adopted, the protractor is characterized by being fixed among three splints, the external splint on the front side of the protractor and positions corresponding to scales of the protractor are provided with circular-arc slotted holes, the pointer is arranged in the centre of a circle on the scales of the protractor, a pencil insert hole is arranged at the lower part of the pointer, the center distance between a circular hole on the upper part of the pointer and the lower pencil insert hole is equal to the circular arc radius of the scales of the protractor, a measuring appliance is installed on the warp to measure a maximum angle alpha and a minimum angle beta of the warp. According to readings of the protractor, the terminal depth of the warp close to a net can be calculated with a formula shown in the specification, in the formula, D denotes the terminal depth of the warp close the net in m; S denotes a connection length of a warp towing point and the net in m; and s denotes the vertical heightof the warp towing point away from the water level in m.
