The present invention relates to a method of centralizing construction of images comprising a step of acquiring at least one radiofrequency signal with a sensor (2, 2') of at least one local imaging device (1, 1'), a step (I, II, III, IV ; I', II', III', IV') for transmitting the radiofrequency signal emanating from the sensor (2, 2') to a centralized processing unit (8), a step of processing the said radiofrequency signal with a view to constructing an image, and a step of transmitting (V, VI; V', VI') the image constructed to a display (4, 4') of said acquisition device (1, 1'), characterized in that the transmission (I, II, III, IV; I', II', III', IV') between the sensor (1, 1') and said processing unit (8) and the transmission (V, VI; V', VI') between said processing unit (8) and the display (4, 4') are performed via a telecommunications network (7), and in that, prior to said step of transmitting (I, II, III, IV; I', II', III', IV') to said processing unit (8), the radiofrequency signal emanating from said sensor (2, 2') is converted into a format compatible with the telecommunications network (7).
