Abstract

The invention, which belongs to the power electronic converter technology field, discloses a four-port direct-current converter and a control method thereof. The four ports of the four-port direct-current converter are respectively connected with a first input source, a second input source, a storage battery, and a load, wherein a load end is electrically isolated with the other three ports by the converter; the control method enables power of the four ports of the converter to be controlled. According to the invention, power management and control of the first input source, the second input source, the storage battery, and the load can be realized simultaneously by a converter; and thus functions of a plurality of single-input and single-output converters are realized by a converter. Compares with a solution scheme with utilization of a plurality of converters, a solution scheme of the invention has the following advantages that: the number of switching elements and relevant control circuits are reduced; the cost, volume and weight of circuits are reduced; device loss is reduced; transformation efficiency is improved; the whole converter is controlled uniformly; power management can be realized effectively; and stability and reliability of the system can be improved.
