Abstract

A blue-phase liquid crystal composition comprises at least a main liquid crystal compound, a main dopant, a chiral dopant, a reactor monomer and a photoinitiator, wherein the main liquid crystal compound is represented by formula (1) shown in the description, wherein A, B and C represent benzene ring or hexamethylene respectively, and R1 and R2 respectively represent substituted or non-substituted alkyl having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or substituted or non-substituted alkoxy having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The main dopant comprises one of the formula (2) and the formula (3) shown in the description. The chiral dopant comprises one of the formula (4) and the formula (5) shown in the description. The reactor monomer comprises one of the formula (6) and the formula (7). R and R' respectively represent substituted or non-substituted alkyl having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or substituted or non-substituted alkoxy having 1 to 12 carbon atoms.
