Problems solved by technology

Most of the current correction methods use software to implement nonlinear fitting. The main problem of this method is that pulses will be lost when the interval between several pulses is small, and it may occur in the case of large pulses with high amplitude. In the case of identifying one pulse as two, pulse discrimination errors will directly lead to wrong counting results and measurement failures

Abstract

The invention discloses a radioactive pulse amplitude digital discriminator. The radioactive pulse amplitude digital discriminator comprises a signal follower module, a high-speed analog / digital (AD) converter, a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) data acquisition and processing molding module and the like, wherein the signal follower module realizes high-speed acquisition of signals by using a high-speed linear amplifier, and is connected with the high-speed AD converter; the high-speed converter finishes high-speed digital quantization of pulse signals and then inputs the signals to the FPGA data acquisition and processing molding module; and the FPGA data acquisition and processing molding module finishes front edge and back edge identification of radioactive pulses, caching of pulse data, processing and molding of the pulse data, and the molded pulses can be output to a scaler or a counter for counting and scaling, and also can be transmitted to a singlechip system to finish pulse counting to ensure that a computer can detect and display the pulses. The radioactive pulse amplitude digital discriminator solves the problems of superimposition and calibration of the radioactive pulses during high-count-rate measurement.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a radioactive pulse amplitude digital discriminator. Background technique [0002] In the radioactivity measurement system, the number of radioactive pulses is directly proportional to the radioactivity of the measured sample, and the radioactive pulses are usually identified by a discriminator and output as an integer. Generally, the structure of the discriminator is relatively simple, and it is usually implemented by a comparator. A discrimination threshold is set for the discriminator. If the signal amplitude is greater than the discrimination threshold, an integer pulse will be output, and if the signal amplitude is less than the discrimination threshold, there will be no output. In the measurement system of the multi-wire proportional counter, since the energy spectrum of the β sample is continuous, the front edge of the pulse is relatively steep, and the trailing edge of the pulse is very long. In this type of measurement...
