Abstract

The invention provides a device and a method for over-speed detection of an elevating container. The device mainly comprises a pressure sensor, a wire rope connecting device, a main wire rope, the elevating container, a speed limiting device, a tensioning device and an industrial computer, wherein the main wire rope is wound around a main rope pulley and an auxiliary rope pulley of the speed limiting device in an Z-shaped manner; the main rope pulley is a centrifugal speed limiting wheel; and when the rotational linear velocity achieves a set value, the centrifugal speed limiting wheel stops rotating and is in sliding friction with the main wire rope, so that the tension of the main wire rope is increased remarkably. The tension range of the rope when the elevating container operates normally and in an over-speed manner is measured on site through the pressure sensor and the industrial computer. When the hoisting speed is higher than the set values of the rope pulleys, the tension signal of the main wire rope, which is detected by the pressure sensor is analyzed by the industrial computer to be in the over-speed operation tension range, that is, the over-speed detection of the elevating container. The detection device has the advantages that the principle is concise; the structure is simple; the response is fast; the reliability is high; the cost is lower; and the mounting and the maintenance are convenient.
