Abstract

The invention relates to a light source system and a projector. An excitation light source is used to generate an excitation light. A wavelength conversion device is used to convert an excitation light wavelength into stimulated light. A first supplement light source is used to generate first supplement light. A first light guidance device is used to guide the first supplement light generated by the first supplement light source to the wavelength conversion device. The wavelength conversion device scatters and partially reflects the first supplement light. A first light collection device is used to collect the first supplement light which is scattered and reflected by the wavelength conversion device. Sizes of the first light guidance device and the first light collection device are arranged so as to satisfy the following condition that a luminous flux of the first supplement light which escapes through the first light guidance device and is scattered and reflected by the wavelength conversion device is less than or equal to 1 / 4 of the luminous flux collected through the first light collection device.
