Abstract

The invention discloses a method for controlling color gradient of an LED (light emitting diode) lamp. The method includes: dividing the color gradient process of the LED lamp into a plurality of main processes, each main process comprises a plurality of branch processes, and the initial state and the final state of each branch process have at least an identical primary color; equally dividing the color components of each primary color into a plurality of changing components according to the change from the darkest to the brightest; in each of the branch processes, gradually increasing or reducing the color component of at least one primary color according to the proportion of one changing component at a time, wherein the change of the color component is controlled by a current of a corresponding LED lamp set, and the current of the LED lamp set is controlled by a pulse width modulation signal output by a singlechip of the LED lamp; and cycling the plurality of main processes in sequence. The method can control the LED lamp sets with different primary colors in the LED lamp to change gradually according to the changing components and maintain at least one identical primary in the initial state and the final state of each change, thereby achieving the color gradient and avoiding the visual discomfort caused by skipping changes.
