Abstract

The invention provides an air maneuvering target detection method based on virtual time sampling and Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) transformation. The detection method includes the following steps: (1) an S1 stage, wherein total echo data received by an airborne early warning radar is subjected to clutter rejection; (2) an S2 stage, wherein a target parameter two-dimensional searching range is ensured; (3) an S3 stage, wherein multi-array element data is utilized to finish the virtual time sampling; and (4) an S4 stage, wherein data after the virtual time sampling is subjected to the WVD transformation so as to form a cost function, thus a target parameter estimation result is obtained. According to the air maneuvering target detection method, the data after the multi-array element clutter rejection is subjected to the virtual time sampling, in other words, time sampling number of a single array unit is increased. Estimation accuracy of parameters is improved, and the data is subjected to the WVD transformation so as to construct the cost function. Obtained parameters corresponding to the maximum value of the cost function after searching is the estimation result of the target parameters. According to the air maneuvering target detection method, an accurate estimation result can be obtained on the condition of limited pulse points.
