Abstract

The invention relates to a plant growing method, namely in particular to a fast growing method of rhododendron plants on changbai mountains. The fast growing method includes the following steps: (1) selecting rhododendron plant seedlings on Changbai mountains with height as 3.0-3.5cm and trunk diameter as 1.0mm; and (2) planting the seedlings in a feeding block of a mixed base material including 4 parts of turfy soil, 2 parts of decomposed pine needle, 2 parts of broad leaf, 1 part of vermiculite, 1 part of cow dung and 0.5 part of compound fertilizer, placing the seedlings into a small shed, tightly sealing the small shed through a plastic film, controlling illumination hour to be 9-15 h.d-1, illumination intensity to be 600-1300/x and temperature to be 25-30 DEG C and applying nutrient solution every 7-22 days. The average growth rate of the rhododendron plant seedlings on Changbai mountains can reach over 142.4% after 45 days, and the seedling trunk diameter reaches 1.89-3.20mm in average. The method provides technical support for popularization and application of rhododendron.
