This invention discloses a method for
earthworm farming using forest
manure resources, relating to the field of
invertebrate farming technology. It uses cow
manure collected by farmers in a dispersed manner or centrally collected by farms as the main
raw material, and includes the following steps: S1. Cow
manure pretreatment: The cow manure is subjected to aerobic
fermentation to obtain mature material, which serves as the main component of the
earthworm breeding
bed; S2. Forest understory zoned farming: In selected forest understory areas, the mature material is laid as a farming substrate, and earthworms are inoculated for farming; S3. Product collection: The earthworms and
vermicompost produced during farming are collected. This invention specifically addresses the challenges of high
moisture content and slow degradation of cow manure. Through carbon-
nitrogen ratio adjustment and multi-stage
fermentation processes, it transforms cow manure into a stable and safe
earthworm farming substrate, solving the risks of root burn and pests associated with directly returning cow manure to the field. Furthermore, the conversion efficiency is more than 40% higher than traditional composting. The modular
crop rotation farming model is particularly suitable for the consumption cycle of the cow manure substrate, achieving continuous and large-scale utilization of cow manure.
