Abstract

The invention provides a water-saving system for dormitories of colleges and universities. The water-saving system can well collect rainwater from roofs and wastewater of water house; and the collected water can be used for flushing toilets after treatment, so as to achieve an object of saving water. The water-saving system is characterized in that water tanks on the roofs are used to collect the rainwater; water-collecting tanks are installed below water tanks of each floor of water houses to collect wastewater produced by washing faces and clothes; the collected rainwater and wastewater are introduced to toilets in the lower layer so as to flush squatting pans, pedestal pans and urinals by using water pipes. A settling zone is disposed at one side of each water-collecting tank; water left in sponge firstly flows into the settling zone, then flows into a water reserving zone. A sliding door is disposed in the settling zone for cleaning sediments, thereby providing convenience for cleaning sludge. A flowmeter is installed at a water outlet at the bottom side of the water reserving zone of the water-collecting tank. A reading number of the flowmeter is input to a single chip microcomputer water-saving control system through a signal cable; and the data is processed by the single chip microcomputer water-saving control system and output and displayed on a display screen. A water-saving effect can be seen by a student when he / she uses water in the water house, so that student's awareness of water conservation can be improved. The water-saving system can achieve the object of flushing the toilets by using the wastewater and saving the water, and has both economic benefits and social benefits.
