Problems solved by technology

This additive has the major drawback of not being able to formulate with conventional cross-linking oils with hydrosiloxy units
This is because, when this type of additive is formulated with a cross-linking silicone oil having hydrosiloxy units, clouding and layering can occur in the formulation

Embodiment 1

[0198] Example 1: Preparation of polyorganosiloxane C1 (Si-epoxy and SiH functionalized) - Invention

[0199] 200 g of toluene and 1.80 g of Pt / C (1.5% platinum) were introduced into the 1 L reactor. This mixture was left under stirring and heated to 80°C. A mixture of allyl glycidyl ether (AGE) (53 g, 0.465 mol) and polydimethylmethylhydrosiloxane (500 g, SiH = 1.75 mol) was added dropwise within half an hour. When the addition was complete, the heating was maintained for 1 hour. Heating was then stopped and after returning to ambient temperature, the reaction medium was filtered to remove Pt / C. Finally, the reaction medium was devolatilized at 80° C. for 3 hours at 10 mbar to obtain a functionalized silicone oil (516 g—yield: 93%) having the following properties:

[0200] [SiH]=0.25mol / 100g; [Epox]=75mmol / 100g; viscosity=13cP.

Embodiment 2

[0201] Example 2: Preparation of polyorganosiloxane C2 (Si-epoxy and SiH functionalized) - Invention

[0202] 100 g of toluene and 0.51 g of Pt / C (1.5% platinum) were introduced into a 500 mL reactor. This mixture was left under stirring and heated to 80°C. A mixture of allyl glycidyl ether (AGE) (17.5 g, 0.153 mol) and polydimethylmethylhydrosiloxane (150 g, SiH = 1.02 mol) was added dropwise over half an hour. When the addition was complete, the heating was maintained for 1 hour. Heating was then stopped and after returning to ambient temperature, the reaction medium was filtered to remove Pt / C. Finally, the reaction medium was devolatilized at 80° C. for 2 hours at 10 mbar to obtain a functionalized silicone oil (150 g—yield: 90%) having the following properties:

[0203] [SiH] = 0.53 mol / 100 g; [Epox] = 71 mmol / 100 g; viscosity = 21 cP.

Embodiment 3

[0204] Example 3: Preparation of Adhesion Additive Comp.1 (Si-epoxy and SiH functionalized) - Comparison

[0205]100 g of toluene and 0.64 g of Pt / C (1.5% platinum) were introduced into a 500 mL reactor. This mixture was left under stirring and heated to 80°C. A mixture of allyl glycidyl ether (AGE) (47.8 g, 0.419 mol) and polydimethylmethylhydrosiloxane (150 g, SiH = 1.02 mol) was added dropwise over half an hour. When the addition was complete, the heating was maintained for 1 hour. Heating was then stopped and after returning to ambient temperature, the reaction medium was filtered to remove Pt / C. Finally, the reaction medium was devolatilized at 80° C. for 2 hours at 10 mbar to obtain a functionalized silicone oil (169.2 g—yield: 85%) having the following properties:

[0206] [SiH] = 0.33 mol / 100 g; [Epox] = 181 mmol / 100 g; viscosity = 47 cP.

Abstract

The invention relates to cross-linkable or cross-linked silicone compositions that can be used, in particular, to form a non-stick water-repellent coating for flexible substrates, for example paper or similar, in the form of natural or synthetic polymer films. Said compositions are of the type that comprise cross-linking polyorganosiloxanes bearing SiH units and unsaturated polyorganosiloxanes, preferably vinylated, capable of reacting with the cross-linking agent by means of an addition reaction in the presence of platinum in order to form the non-stick cross-linked coating on the flexible substrate and at least one attachment-promoting and cross-linking additive X. The aim of the invention is to provide novel liquid silicone coating compositions which are advantageously free of solvents and which can be cross-linked instantaneously into a water-repellent and / or non-stick coating for a flexible substrate, thereby producing cross-linked silicone coatings of a very high quality in terms of their attachment / adhesion to the substrate, high "rub-off" resistance and anti-adhesion profile (sufficiently high separation force at high speed), which properties are the product, in particular, of an attachment promoting additive.

Description

technical field [0001] The field of the invention relates to cross-linkable or cross-linked silicone compositions which are especially useful for forming anti-adhesive and waterproof coatings or films for flexible supports, for example made of paper or the like, and in the form of natural or synthetic polymer films. Background technique [0002] The hardenable release silicone compositions can be applied to the supports to facilitate removal of adhesive material reversibly bonded to the supports. [0003] These liquid silicone compositions are applied to a carrier film in an industrial coating device comprising a roll running at a very high speed (eg 600 m / min). Clearly, in these very high speed coating operations, the viscosity of the liquid silicone coating composition should be carefully adjusted to suit the coating operation conditions. [0004] In practice, the deposition rate of anti-adhesive silicone is 0.1-2, preferably 0.3-1 g / m 2 , which corresponds to a thickne...
