Abstract

The invention discloses a method and device for speech communication and a method and device for operating a jitter buffer. The method for speech communication comprises the following steps that audio blocks are sequentially obtained, wherein each audio block comprises one or more audio frames; speech activity detection is conducted on the audio blocks; judgment of sound production starting aiming at the current audio block in the audio blocks is responded, and the subsequence of the sequences of the obtained audio blocks is obtained, wherein the subsequence is adjacent to the front of the current audio block and has a preset length; non-speech judgment is made with regard to each audio block in the subsequence; the current audio block and the audio blocks in the subsequence are sent to a receiver; the audio blocks in the subsequence is identified as the audio blocks which need processing again; non-speech judgment aiming at the current audio block is responded, and the current audio block is buffered and saved.
