Abstract

The invention provides a power amplifier and a control method thereof, and relates to the field of electronics. According to the power amplifier and the control method thereof, the overall energy consumption of the power amplifier can be reduced. The control method of the power amplifier comprises the steps of obtaining an updating threshold value corresponding to the number of current carrier waves in preset threshold values according to the number of the current carrier waves, wherein the preset values are at least two in number; comparing the preset parameter value of an intermodulation signal and the updating threshold value, and controlling an intermodulation compensation circuit to be opened or closed according to the comparison result. The power amplifier and the control method thereof are used for the using of the power amplifier.
