The method comprises the steps that a sample image used for expressing a scene is obtained from each sample scene in the training preparation stage, and an index table of global feature descriptor matrixes for sample images of all scenes is established; the mobile terminal collects an image to be matched in the current scene in the tracking registration stage; the global feature descriptor matrixes of the image to be matched under different scales are extracted; the key frame image with the maximum similarity is selected from the sample images; local feature points of the image to be matched are matched with the local feature points of the key frame image, the matching point pairs with mismatch are removed; a homography matrix of the image to be matched, relative to the key frame image, is computed on the basis of the current remaining matching point pairs, a position matrix of the mobile terminal is computed by utilizing the homography matrix, and the tracking registration on the key frame image is realized on the basis of the position matrix.
