Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: preparing a mixed solution and adjusting the pH (Potential of Hydrogen); placing a timber in the mixed solution to react; and washing and drying to obtain the timber with different wettability properties on the surface. The surface wettability of the prepared timber has response to the pH value of the solution and can effectively realize the hydrophilic-lyophobic reversible switch to form an intelligent switch, so that the timber can respond to the change of the outer environment condition and has the self-cleaning function.
