The method comprises the steps of monitoring an editing operation executed on the data in the webpage, obtaining information of the editing operation, and locally caching the information of the editing operation. According to the method, compared with the mode that the information of the editing operation is stored into a server, the mode that the information of the editing operation is locally cached to be stored can improve the caching speed. When a request for reading the information of the editing operation is received, the requested information of the editing operation can be read from a local cache, and therefore the speed for reading the information of the editing operation is improved. Therefore, the information of the editing operation is cached to the local cache, interaction between a terminal and the server is reduced, and resource losses of the server are reduced. In addition, user information leakage is prevented by emptying the information of the editing operation in the local cache, and the aim of protecting user information is achieved.
