Abstract

The invention relates to metal complexes of houttuynin (alkanoylacetaldehyde homologs). The structural formula of the metal complexes is shown as formula (I). Two synthesized complexes including decanoylacetaldehyde zinc and decanoylacetaldehyde magnesium are white solids and are insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as trichloromethane; and the synthesized decanoylacetaldehyde calcium is light yellow solid, and is nearly insoluble in water and organic solvents. The complexes have antibacterial and anti-inflammation effects, particularly have decorporation effects on heay metals such as copper and lead through in vivo and in vitro test, have very low toxicity, and are potential metal detoxifying medicaments.
