Abstract

[Objective] To provide a linear electric actuator, by means of which, at a low cost, the locking of the ball screw is prevented, and high rotational performance is achieved. [Technical solution] The casing (2) includes a first casing (2a) and a second casing (2b). An electric motor is attached to the first housing (2a). Accommodating holes are formed in the first housing (2a) and the second housing (2b) to accommodate the screw. The reduction mechanism (6) includes an input gear (3) fixed to the motor shaft, an intermediate gear (4) meshing with the input gear (3), and an output meshing with the intermediate gear (4) and fixed to a nut (18) as a single unit gear (5). The intermediate gear (4) is rotatably supported using a gear shaft (22) which is embedded in the first housing (2a) and the second housing respectively via shell-type needle bearings (23) (2b).
