Abstract

The invention provides a method and equipment for correcting a three-dimensional image in a tiled integral imaging display (T-IID). The method includes: using a shooting unit to shoot a structured light image displayed on an LCD in a T-IID at a fixed position; using the shot structured light image to perform calibration on a geometric model of the T-IID, wherein the geometric model of the T-IID includes rotation and translation parameters of each lens array in the T-IID relative to the LCD; according to the calibrated geometric model of the T-IID, by simulating an optimal imaging process in the T-IID, generating a light model that satisfies the optimal imaging process in the T-IID; and using the generated light model to render an image of an elemental image array (EIA), thereby generating an EIA image capable of correctly displaying a three-dimensional image. The method and equipment can effectively remove three-dimensional image distortion caused by a position alignment error of an imaging display unit, and can reduce a requirement for manufacturing accuracy of system hardware at the same time, thereby cutting costs of system manufacture.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a splicing integrated imaging display (T-IID) technology, in particular to a method of calibrating the T-IID model, generating a light model based on the calibration result, and using the generated light model to correctly display a three-dimensional image methods and equipment. Background technique [0002] Integrated imaging display (Integral imaging display: IID) is a technology that allows users to view natural three-dimensional images with naked eyes. This three-dimensional image has continuous parallax changes in the horizontal and vertical directions. Integrated imaging technology was first proposed by French scientist Lippmann. In recent years, with the advancement of electronic technology, integrated imaging technology has begun to move towards practicality. Basically, an integrated imaging system includes a high-resolution LCD panel and a lens array. A two-dimensional image is displayed on the LCD, and this ...
