Problems solved by technology

[0005] The annular chamber described in Patent Document 1 is filled with silicone oil, but there is a possibility that air bubbles remain
In addition, in the case of leakage of silicone oil due to thermal expansion, there is a possibility of air bubbles entering the annular chamber
The air bubbles will expand in the annular chamber when the housing and the rotor rotate relative to each other. In the area where the air bubbles expand, resistance cannot be obtained by the silicone oil, and the torque exerted by the damper will decrease.
Since the annular chamber is sealed to prevent leakage of silicone oil, it is difficult to remove air bubbles after the damper is assembled

Embodiment Construction

[0021] The damper has a case into which oil as a viscous fluid is injected, and a rotor inserted into the case. The damper generates torque by utilizing shear resistance and stirring resistance during relative rotation of the housing and the rotor.

[0022] During assembly of the damper, air bubbles may remain in the viscous fluid-filled space. In addition, viscous fluid changes in volume depending on temperature, and there is a possibility that air bubbles may enter the case. The air bubbles are pressurized during the relative rotation of the housing and the rotor, and spread on the peripheral surface of the rotor to change the shear resistance, and the torque may be weakened as the air bubbles expand. That is, if the relative rotation between the housing and the rotor is performed multiple times, the torque exerted by the damper may decrease.

[0023] Therefore, the first and second grooves can be formed on the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the rotor, and by colle...

Abstract

An embodiment provides a damper a damper including: a housing; a rotor; and a sealing member. The housing includes outer and inner cylinder portions to define a filling space portion therebetween for filling with a viscose fluid. The rotor includes a head portion and a cylinder portion extended downwardly therefrom so as to be inserted into the filling space portion. The sealing member seals the filling space portion. The rotor further includes axially-extending first and second groove portions provided on outer and inner peripheral surfaces of the cylinder portion near the bottom portion thereof. At least one of the first groove portions includes a communicating portion which communicates the inside and the outside of the rotor, and the second groove portion is apart from the communicating portion in a circumferential direction.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a damper which generates torque by using the relative rotation of a housing and a rotor, and a handle device with the damper. Background technique [0002] On the walls of the cabin of the passenger seat and the rear seat of the vehicle, a handle device to be held by the passenger is provided. This handle device has a rotatably provided grip part, a spring part biasing the grip part in a predetermined rotation direction, and a damper damping the rotation of the grip part. [0003] For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an auxiliary handle device having a rotation damper. The rotary damper has: a housing, which is provided with an annular chamber; a rotor, whose main body is inserted into the annular chamber, and can rotate relative to the housing; silicone oil filled in the annular chamber; and a sealing member, which seals the rotor and the annular chamber. The housings are sealed. [0004] Patent Document 1 Japanese Unex...
