The scanning-type laser apparatus adopts a single rotation scanning type laser range finder which is fixedly installed on one side of an expressway driving road section or an upright tube in an isolation strip and a scanning plane is vertical to a lane direction. The motor bus identification apparatus matches received outline shape information with a vehicle outline shape information model database and cooperates with a multiple echo detection technology so as to identify a motor bus. The intelligent snapshot apparatus acquires a headstock or tailstock image information of motor bus running and a license number according to instruction snapshot of a motor bus model identification unit. The system is not influenced by weather, installation and maintenance are easy, motor bus identification accuracy is high, an intelligent degree is high and manpower and material resource investments are saved.
