The method comprises the following steps of A, building a model of a thermal-power-plant boiler main steam temperature system according to step response data of the thermal-power-plant boiler main steam temperature system; B, working out the temperature reduction water spraying quantity u(k) according to a fractional order PI dynamic matrix control algorithm; C, adjusting the temperature reduction water spraying quantity according to u(k) worked out in the step B, and controlling the thermal-power-plant boiler main steam temperature; and D, at the next moment, returning to the step B, and repeating the step B to the step D. According to the method, a fractional order PI algorithm and a dynamic matrix control technology are combined, so that the method has the advantages of the fractional order PI algorithm and the advantages of the dynamic matrix control technology. The control precision is high, the tracking speed is high and free of overshooting, steady-state errors are small, the load change adaptability and the interference rejection capability are high, the stability and the dynamic performance of main steam temperature control are guaranteed, and the heat efficiency is improved. The method is beneficial for protection of an on-site execution mechanism and suitable for an industrial site.
