Embodiment Construction

[0037] According to the figures, the internal combustion engine has a crankshaft 1 . A crankshaft 1 is arranged in a crankcase 2 of an internal combustion engine. The crankshaft 1 has at least two journals 3 . The journals 3 are mounted in each main bearing 4 of the crankcase 2 . The crankshaft 1 is thus rotatable about the axis of rotation 5 .

[0038] The crankshaft 1 also has a crank pin 6 . The crank pin 6 extends coaxially to the axis of rotation 5 , but is arranged eccentrically with respect to the axis of rotation 5 . The crank pin 6 is connected to the journal 3 via a crank arm 7 . A counterweight 8 can be arranged radially outwardly on the crank arm 7 .

[0039] The crankpin 6 is connected to the piston 10 via the connecting rod 9 . Piston 10 oscillates in cylinder 11 between top dead center OT and bottom dead center UT, respectively.

[0040] The rotor 12 of the electric machine is arranged on the crank arm 7 . The rotor 12 is preferably arranged as radially ...

Abstract

An internal combustion engine with a crankshaft (1) arranged in a crankcase (2) of the internal combustion engine. The crankshaft (1) has at least two journals (3), which are supported in each main bearing (4) of the crankcase (2), so that the crankshaft (1) can rotate about an axis of rotation (5). The crankshaft (1) has at least one crank pin (6) extending coaxially to the axis of rotation (5) and arranged eccentrically with respect to the axis of rotation (5), the crank pin being connected to the journal (3) by means of a crank arm (7) connect. The crank pin (6) is connected with a plurality of pistons (10) through a plurality of connecting rods (9). A piston (10) oscillates between a top dead center (OT) and a bottom dead center (UT) in a plurality of cylinders (11), respectively. The rotor (12) of the electric machine is arranged on the crank arm (7). The stator (14) of the electric machine is arranged at the crankcase (2). The stator (14) of the electric machine electromagnetically interacts with the rotor (12) of the electric machine. The stator (14) of the electric machine is connected to a converter unit (15) for bidirectional transmission of electrical energy.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an internal combustion engine, [0002] - wherein the internal combustion engine has a crankshaft arranged in a crankcase of the internal combustion engine, [0003] - wherein the crankshaft has at least two journals which are supported in each of the main bearings of the crankcase so that the crankshaft can rotate about the axis of rotation, [0004] - wherein the crankshaft has at least one crank pin extending coaxially to the axis of rotation and arranged eccentrically relative to the axis of rotation, the crank pin being connected to the journal via a crank arm, [0005] - wherein the crankpin is connected to a plurality of pistons via a plurality of connecting rods, [0006] - wherein the piston oscillates between top dead center and bottom dead center in a plurality of cylinders, respectively. Background technique [0007] Such internal combustion engines are generally known. In particular, every common piston...
