Abstract

The invention discloses a serial channel selection method and system. The method comprises steps: based on indication of a server, each AP (Access Point) for channel configuration is in a silence state; based on the indication of the server, a target AP closes the silence state and is gradually switched to each channel in a scanning channel list, and an available channel with minimal interference is acquired; and after the target AP is transferred to the available channel, the server is informed to select next target AP from each AP for channel configuration for channel configuration. According to the method of the invention, through completing accurate selection on the best channel by each AP in a target area one by one, channel uncertainty in the case of parallel section is avoided, the channel selection result is more accurate, and wireless interference in the field can be effectively reduced.
