Abstract

The invention relates to a real-time Ethernet EtherCAT slave station system. The system comprises a microprocessor, a slave station controller, an Electrical Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) and an optical coupled isolator, wherein the microprocessor is used for implementing an EtherCAT slave station application layer protocol, communicating with the slave station controller through a serial peripheral interface (SPI) bus, responding to a slave station protocol data packet, and changing a field data output by setting universal interface data; and the slave station controller is used for implementing an EtherCAT slave station physical layer protocol and a data link layer protocol. A connection between the microcontroller and the slave station controller is realized through a universal SPI interface; a connection way is independent of microcontroller bus architecture; and hardware implementation is easy and flexible. Electrical isolation of a field side and a slave station system side is realized through the optical coupled isolator, so that the electromagnetic interference resistance of the slave station system is enhanced.
