Problems solved by technology

[0004] The pressure-depth method in the prior art needs to use data such as water layer pressure and oil layer pressure at different depths to perform straight line fitting, and these data are generally lacking in oil fields with low exploration degrees, so that in these exploration degrees Lower oil fields cannot use the pressure-depth method to judge the position of the oil-water contact, so a new method is needed to predict the position of the oil-water contact in less-explored oil fields

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and device for predicting the position of an oil-water interface. The method comprises the steps: calculating a first pressure gradient of a position where a first sample point is located through the obtained oil layer sampling data of the first sample point at a target layer of a to-be-measured region; calculating a second pressure gradient of a position where a second sample point is located through the obtained water layer sampling data of the second sample point at the target layer of the to-be-measured region, wherein the pressure of an oil layer where the first sample point is located is mutually connected with the pressure of a water layer where the second sample point is located; calculating the residual pressure of the position where the first sample point is located through sampling data of the oil layer and the determined pressure measurement reference plane of the to-be-measured region; and predicting the position of the oil-water interface through employing the oil layer sampling data, the first pressure gradient, the second pressure gradient, and the residual pressure. According to the technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention, the method can achieve the preliminary prediction of the position of the oil-water interface in an oil field which is lower in degree of prospecting.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to the technical field of petroleum exploration and development, in particular to a method and device for predicting the position of the oil-water interface. Background technique [0002] Determining the location of the oil-water contact is one of the core issues in reservoir size estimation and reserve calculation. There are many methods for determining the position of the oil-water interface in the prior art, among which the pressure-depth method is one of the commonly used methods. The pressure-depth method is mainly to use the measured pressure data at different depths to draw the relationship between depth and pressure to obtain the depth-pressure profile, and then to obtain the reservoir pressure by linear fitting regression on the data points on the depth-pressure profile. The gradient line and the pressure gradient line of the water layer, the depth corresponding to the intersection of these two lines is the pos...
