Abstract

A device(100) comprises elements(10,20,30,40) for measuring current, the elements being housed in a casing(50). The casing includes a first portion(51) and a second portion(55,57) made of plastic, welded to each other, which together define a housing(52,53) for receiving the measuring elements. The first portion(51) is opaque in order to absorb a laser beam for welding the portions, and the second portion(57) is transparent in order to let the laser beam pass. The process for manufacturing the device(100) includes a fitting step in which the measuring elements (10,20,30,40) are fitted into the casing(50) and an assembly step in which the portions(51,55,57) of the casing are joined together using a laser welding process.
