Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a multipath-transmission-control-protocol (MPTCP) path selection method and apparatus, wherein the method and apparatus are applied to a mobile terminal. The method comprises: when to-be-transmitted data exist, current available links are identified; when the number of current available links is not less than two, a congestion window value of each available link is obtained; on the basis of a locally stored correspondence relationship between a current to-be-selected link scheme and a target path, a target path transmitting the to-be-transmitted data is determined, wherein a corresponding target path of the to-be-selected link under each congestion window value in any combination mode is recorded in the correspondence relationship between a current to-be-selected link scheme and a target path and the target path is determined according to a throughput-capacity-and-energy-based markov decision-making process. With the method and apparatus, a flow can be balanced effectively according to a real situation of a path and data transmission can be carried out by switching different paths in real time. And thus the throughput capacity of the mobile terminal is improved and the energy consumption is reduced.
