Abstract

The composition is prepared by the following steps: drying and crushing the corn stigma, soaking the corn stigma, conducting probiotic fermentation, and adding a sweetening agent. The corn stigma, through the probiotic fermentation, is relatively high in content of corn stigma total saponins and relatively low in molecular weight of corn stigma polysaccharides; and the fermented corn stigma can take such effects on lowering blood glucose, reducing blood fat, relieving swelling and inducing diuresis, clearing away heat and toxic materials, calming liver and benefiting gallbladders, improving constipation and the like. The composition of the probiotic-fermented corn stigma disclosed by the invention has easily acceptable taste and the composition is non-irritant to gastrointestinal tracts; and meanwhile, the composition, which contains probiotics and metabolites thereof, is capable of conditioning the environment of the gastrointestinal tracts and enhancing drug absorption.
